A unique evening on board Training Ship DANMARK

The special gala dinner held on board Training Ship DANMARK in Rio de Janeiro will never be forgotten. The evening toke place in a truly unique and breathtaking position and atmosphere, anchored in the centre of the worlds most talked-about city.

Their highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were honorary guests at a special gala dinner hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Joachim and MARTEC on board Training Ship DANMARK on August 3rd 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

 

The Danish National Girl Choir performed during the dinner with the national hymns of Denmark and the Brazilian national hymn was performed in the original language. A truly amazing and unique performance and perhaps the most memorable moment of all.

 

The gala event marked the arrival of the Danish national training ship in Brazil, where the ship will act as a platform for Denmark and Danish industry during the 2016 Olympic Games.

 

MARTEC and Training Ship DANMARK will stay in Rio until August 25th. During the Olympic Games the ship will host a number of company and network events aiming at building strong relationships between Denmark and Brazil with maritime education and business.
